Jonathan has proved himself well, lately. He listens very well, and has begun speaking up about what he hears. Up until recently, he acted like he ignored conversations going on around him and didn't ask too many questions about it. This year, that is definitely changing for him.
Tonight, after he, Mom, and Dad returned from a Senior's party at church, he started talking to me, asking the normal questions: what're you doing? what's that (on the screen)? Well before long he saw me cutting a piece of birthday cake my parents brought home from a Senior's party and celebration for my Dad's birthday last week. He proceeded to inform me of all of this because he didn't know I knew about it. Normally he just asks, "What're you doing? What's that?" But he already knew the answer and wanted to tell me about it, even though I said nothing to him about the cake.
Then he went on to talk about tomorrow's events at church. This is what went down:
He made a statement in reference to tomorrow night. i couldn't understand him at first because I didn't know what he was specifically talking about with tomorrow. Then I figured it out, he was saying: "Gonna praise God tomorrow night." Then I realized what exactly he was referencing. So I asked him basically what are we praising God for tomorrow night? Then he mentioned friends. I never got him to say what we are doing night, but he knew that we are celebrating tomorrow night for the church being debt free as of this week. And Jonathan was saying that we are gonna praise God tomorrow night, aka celebrate.
If that's not proof that he understands, I don't know what is.
