Every week members from Powdersville Frist Baptist Church lead a children's ministry called Good News Club at Powdersville Elementary School.
Separated by grades for their small groups, students talk with leaders about scripture passages and hand in prayer requests they may have.
In a large group, leaders ask the students questions to review previous lessons.
The students hear a weekly Bible story. Today, a shepherd's staff was used to illustrate how Elisha asked Gehazi to touch a dying boy's head the staff, as was told from 2 Kings 4.
A "Wonder Book" is given to each student to take home as their very own devotional. They are asked every week what they learned from the previous week.
