Papa

My grandfather, whom we call "Papa," is known for a few different things among the family:

First, is his ability to talk to anyone about anything for an extended amount of time. Oftentimes he can be heard mumbling to himself or talking to a stranger about his life history.

Second, is how much he sleeps and where. Many nights he falls asleep on the couch watching the eleven o'clock news and the TV does not get turned off unless he wakes up before morning. Most of my family will tell you that wherever he sits he can fall asleep within minutes.

He proved this to be true today. Upon returning from an errand, I found Papa sitting in a chair on the front porch soaking in the sun and "resting his eyes." I just had to laugh to myself because to me it was a new sleeping spot of which I had not seen before.
